WAYRA 2021 VINTAGE

We announce the launch of the new WAYRA vintages, where we have some news to tell you about, starting with the incorporation of the Cabernet Franc in the Vineyard Selection 2020 line and the restyling of our Estate 2021. Next, we present our wines for this 2021 vintage.

WAYRA ESTATE MALBEC 2021

We have redesigned our label for this new 2021 vintage and we have selected an ecological container (less weight) to offer you the best expression of Malbec, typical of a unique terroir in the Uco Valley. Our winemaker (Bernardo Bossi Bonilla) has made sure that the excellent climate and soil characteristics of this vintage are reflected in the aromatic and expressive notes in the intense color of this great wine.

WAYRA VINEYARD SELECTION Cabernet Franc 2020

We are celebrating the entry of our exquisite Cabernet Franc, which incorporates our Vineyard Selection line, with grapes from Paraje Altamira, in Uco Valley, where the altitude, the intense colds and a great thermal amplitude, generate conditions of natural health, providing freshness, color and complexity to this great vintage.

What does Wayra mean?

Wayra takes its name from the Quechua word “huayra”, that means wind. This concept gives birth to our WAYRA range of wines Mountain Winds.

Our WAYRA range of wines, reflects, and expresses a unique terroir. Located in the Uco Valley at 1.250 meters above sea level, our vineyard is watered with water coming from thawed ice directly from the Andes Mountains. Thanks to the wide thermal range, the alluvial soil and a careful treatment of our collaborators, our wines reach their maximum varietal expression.
